HFSI operates a fully integrated, in-house heat treatment facility designed to support large and heavy forgings with strict mechanical property requirements. Heat treatment is a critical stage in ensuring strength, toughness, and durability, and HFSI maintains complete control over this process.

The facility is equipped with five calibrated bogie hearth furnaces with capacities of up to 80 metric tonnes, allowing uniform heating of large sections. Our heat treatment capabilities include normalizing, annealing, quenching, tempering, and stress relieving, carried out in accordance with customer specifications and applicable standards.

Quenching is performed using polymer-based quenching tanks with an 80,000-litre capacity, enabling controlled cooling rates and consistent metallurgical results. All cycles are closely monitored and recorded to ensure repeatability and traceability.

By performing heat treatment in-house, HFSI eliminates external dependencies, reduces lead times, and ensures seamless coordination between forging, machining, and testing. This integrated approach allows us to deliver components with reliable mechanical properties, dimensional stability, and long service life, even in highly demanding industrial environments.
